Apart from the obvious benefits of having a keyless door lock and the lower risk of losing it, are there any risks to your security?
A keyless lock mechanism is similar in a way to normal keyed lock although, instead of aligning the levers with a key, by pressing the right numbers on the keypad the levers get aligned too and the lock open up. The more numbers and letters the keypad has, the greater is the potential of code combinations the lock has to offer. The more expensive locks can offer the user more than one set of combination. You would need it as a temporary measure when guests need access to the door too.
It’s important to keep the keypad clean, pressing the same keys over time leave marks on the keys which make it easy to identify the code by following the most used keys.
